How To Rank In Google Maps Fast + Case Study

Joe at Digital Triggers put together a fantastic case study about Ranking Well in Google Maps. In it, he explains the incredible value of Business Listings to any business--especially those that have very little online exposure. Furthering that, he looks at a few online providers of Local Business Listing Submissions, WL Marketing included, to compare and contrast strategies, pricepoints, and deliverables. Check out his article at the link above, or you can view the video directly on YouTube.

Google Mobile Algorithm Update / Effects

The folks at Search Engine Roundtable posted a quick recap on the heels of Google's "Mobile Friendly" algorithm update. You may remember us mentioning this impending update in a newsletter a few weeks ago. Our advice was to mobilize your website or potentially be left with less traffic. Their detailed article points out that many webmasters did just that, and, because of it, the change hasn't seen widespread ranking changes. If you've noticed a mobile drop-off, though, drop us a line at admin@wlmarketing.com and we can help out!

Google's Bias Toward Fresh Content

We recently stumbled upon a fantastic whiteboard from Rand over at Moz that describes Google's preference for fresh content and the value of keeping the content on your own site updated. While the video is a bit dated, the ideas are still just as important now as they were then.

We would highly recommend adding new content to your site, or, if it isn't conducive to receiving new content in its current form, adding a blog or article section to your website. If you don't have the time to do that yourself, check out our Content Writing Services. Or, for a more hands-free approach, our Blog Management Services will give you the opportunity to have fresh content posted to your site on a repeating basis.
